I’m taking the time to answer some frequently asked questions!

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
When you get to the building, I will greet you at the entrance and lead you to my bright, beautiful studio! I fully expect you to make yourself at home. Have a refreshment, fix your hair, get comfortable! Depending on the family, I guage if we are jumping right in or if a slow beginning is needed. I have music playing in the background which I can adjust to whatever you prefer. If you’re using my client wardrobe, feel free to browse and change into the perfect piece. I have a light-reflector that doubles as a dressing room or there is a bathroom down the way.
Q: WILL I GET TO PICK MY PHOTOS?
Answer: Yes! Once I cull through your unedited gallery, getting rid of the blinking eyes or funny facial expressions, you will receive a link to your carefully edited gallery with my watermark. From there, you will “favorite” your favorites! I will then remove my watermark for you to download. You can buy extra images if desired as well as print photos directly from your gallery.
Q: ARE THERE ANY TYPES OF SHOOTS YOU DON’T DO?
Answer: Yes. Very-posed newborn shoots with props, and boudoir.
Q: ARE YOUR PACKAGES CUSTOMIZABLE?
Answer: Shoot me a message and let me know what you need. I may be able to work with you!
Q: WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
Answer: I totally get it, things happen! People get sick, hurt, etc. Happy to reschedule your shoot ASAP. If you need to completely cancel within 5 days of your session and not rebook, per your contract the retainer of 50% will not be returned. If I, for whatever reason, need to cancel and cannot rebook, all monies will be refunded.
Q: WHAT TIME IS BEST TO SCHEDULE MY SHOOT?
Answer: Currently between 1 and 4m, which includes golden hour. We definitely can shoot mornings and early afternoons, we just won’t get that glow. Overcast days - usually doesn’t matter much what time of day your session starts.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Answer: All packages include the option to grab outfits from our client wardrobe for mamas (SM-LG) & kiddos (0-8 yrs). If not desired and still need help, I will send over visual inspiration!
Q: DO YOU SHOOT OUTSIDE YOUR STUDIO?
Answer: Absolutely I do! Let’s chat!
Q: CAN I BRING MY PET?
Answer: Yes ;)
Q: MY KID(S) ARE SHY/HYPERACTIVE/SPECIAL NEEDS, ETC. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Answer: I have had the privilege of photographing all types of people with different needs. In my experience, lots of communication before and during the shoot plus me being attuned to any needs in the moment helps to make a shoot successful. I never want anyone to feel held captive by my camera or the session. I desire everyone to show up as they are in order to get the most authentic nuances captured.
This child needed extra attention as she felt overstimulated and out of her element. Mom & partnered together to allow her daughter to be whatever she needed to be in that moment. Still, precious images were captured.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUDN TIE?
Answer: Currently 3 days up to 1 week, depending on the package.
Q: WHAT IF THERE AREN’T ANY “GOOD” IMAGES IN MY GALLERY?
Answer: I haven’t ever experienced this. I say that because even when something happens like the kids are whiny or not cooperating, we can always get a snuggly shot or shots with movement in them. I try my best to work with you in the moment and not let you leave without the good ones!
